Date set for extra Beal Valley consultation event in Shaw – Wednesday 23 July 3-8pm

Following pressure from Shaw & Crompton Liberal Democrats, a date has now been agreed for an additional consultation event in Shaw over the controversial plans to build 1,500 homes at Beal Valley.

• The public event will take place on Wednesday 23^rd July 3pm-8pm at Shaw & Crompton Town Council Offices, 1 Kershaw Street East, Shaw, Oldham OL2 8AB.

Liberal Democrat Shaw representative councillor Howard Sykes MBE – who pushed for the event – said: “This is great news and there should have been an opportunity for Shaw and Crompton residents to have their say on these plans from the start. But I’m glad the organisers have engaged with us and I want to thank all involved to make this event happen.”

Residents of Shaw and Crompton are encouraged to attend look at proposals and have their say on the plans.
